Description Position at SBM Management

SBM Management is hiring a Tape Applicator! As a Tape Applicator, you will play a crucial role in maintaining safety, organization, and efficiency within our facility. Your primary responsibility will be to apply floor marking tape according to established guidelines, ensuring clear communication and delineation of spaces. 

Responsibilities   

Floor Marking Application: Apply floor marking tape to designated areas, including aisles, workstations, storage zones, and traffic routes.   Ensure accurate placement of tape to convey information effectively.   Use corner markers or other appropriate methods to indicate pallet placement areas for product and materials storageEquipment and Tool Outlining:   Outline spaces for equipment and large tools using floor tape.   Help new operators understand safe operating zones by visually defining equipment boundaries.   Promote safety and prevent collisions by creating clear visual cues for machinery placement.Visual Communication:   Utilize floor-adhering visual messaging tools (such as tape) to communicate important information to employees.   Remind workers about safety protocols, restricted areas, and other relevant guidelines.   Reinforce 5S principles through visual cues that encourage adherence to organizational standardsAisle Marking:   Distinguish traffic routes using floor tape.   Direct foot traffic efficiently, preventing congestion and promoting smooth movement within the facility.   Enhance safety by clearly defining pathways and separating pedestrian and machinery zones. 

Qualifications

Attention to Detail: Precise application of floor tape is essential for effective communication.  Understanding of 5S Principles: Familiarity with the 5S methodology and its impact on workplace organization.  Physical Stamina: The role involves standing, bending, and walking during tape application.   Safety Awareness: Prioritize safety while working with machinery and in high-traffic areas.   Team Player: Collaborate with colleagues to maintain a well-organized and efficient workspace. 

*Previous experience in floor marking or tape application.

*Knowledge of different types of floor tape and their suitability for various surfaces. 

*Familiarity with warehouse or factory environments. 

  *Tape Selection: Choosing the right type of tape is critical for success. Avoid common pitfalls by selecting appropriate tape for the specific floor type and ensuring proper installation

*Industrial Floor Tape Applicator: Familiarity with using an industrial floor tape applicator (if applicable) can be advantageous for large-scale projects.

Shift: 

Monday-Friday 7:00AM - 3:30PM 

Compensation: $20.60 - $22.60 per hour
