Job Description

Customer Satisfaction and Business Development

Ensures Customer Satisfaction through the right process of welcome, confirmation and implementation of the bookings with the Rooms division and the other departments involved.Respects the objectives of the rates and inventory through the consultation of the system and verification with the reservations supervisor or Reservations Manager for sensitive requestsEnsures that the rate and the product information are well communicated to the guestEnsures on-time quotations.Converts offers into confirmed and guaranteed bookingsImplements the follow up process of the department and efficiently traces the offers in due time.Upsells and confirms the upselling’sParticipates to some sales activities targeting Key ClientsRespects the Sales information and segmentation of the clients and take a particular care to the Key and TOP Accounts and ensure the permanent development of new accounts through the quality of service provided in reservations and the documentation of potential or existing problems in a minimum period of time.Detects Business Opportunities and communicates them to the reservation managerCommunicates any problem, issue or risk for an account with the DOSM and the Account Handler.

Computerized reservation system Management

Provides timely reservation information for use by the front office and hotel officials.Updates the database.Supports the Reservations Manager in the System Checks and inputs.Supports the Reservations Manager in all missions as requested.

Maintains high confidentiality in regards to guest privacy.Reports any suspicious behaviour of guests and staff to the General Manager and Security.Notifies housekeeper regarding lost and found objects.Ensures that all potential and real hazards are reported appropriately immediately.Fully understands the hotel’s fire, emergency, and bomb procedures.Follows emergency procedures to provide for the security and safety of guests and employees.Works in a safe manner that does not harm or injure self or othersAnticipates possible and probable hazards and conditions and notifies the Manager.Maintains the highest standards of personal hygiene, dress, uniform, appearance, body language and conduct.

Interrelations:

Liaises with all departments to ensure smooth operation and develops effective relationships with guests, business partners.

Work Conditions:

Regular hours with extra times occasionally. 
Additional Information

 

The Reservations department is in charge of the conversion of the incoming individual and TO Groups requests into confirmed bookings at the right rate for the right client at the right time, communicated by the Management or the Revenue Manager, while ensuring the guest satisfaction through the co-ordination of the booking requirements prior to arrival.Supports the Reservations Supervisor in the delegated activitiesGood command of English and one other language used by majority of staffTwo years’ experience in 5 Star HotelsGood knowledge in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, Opera
