This is a unique opportunity to join a recruiting team and business to help establish Petco’s blueprint for its Veterinarian Hospital talent pipeline strategy, inclusive of forecasting, strategic sourcing, digital recruitment outreach, veterinary/tech school relationships, talent assessment and onboarding offerings. This position will be responsible for recruiting Veterinarian talent for our fullservice hospitals. As the Talent Sourcer for Petco’s Veterinary Hospital business, you will represent PETCO to the external market in a professional, driven and proactive manner to help promote our partner value proposition, support timely hiring of critical talent and ensure that the organization has the necessary resources to achieve its business objectives.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities: The incumbent must be able to perform all the following duties and responsibilities with or without a reasonable accommodation:
• Demonstrates full knowledge and owns the talent acquisition process from start to finish. Develops and implements talent strategies while providing leadership and expertise for the full cycle of the talent acquisition function.
• Develops recruitment strategies, assessments, and candidate management.
• Provides guidance through partnerships with senior level leadership to identify and evaluate hospital staffing needs, collaborate, and influence desirable outcomes. Provides feedback to leadership and partners on industry trends and changes within the labor market.
• Creates and nurtures key relationships in order to build a pipeline of candidates by actively partnering with national and local VMA’s, school universities and programs as well as the local communities in which we serve.
• Develops both traditional and non-traditional sourcing techniques to attract both active and passive candidates utilizing Boolean searches, social media, and creative investigative techniques.
• Utilizes applicant tracking systems to help manage candidate workflows, generate offers, and create/maintain accurate recruitment data.

Minimum Requirements:
• A Bachelor’s degree and/or Human Resources certificate or PHR/SPHR and/or AIRS certification is strongly preferred.
• 3 years’ recruiting experience, veterinary/human healthcare industry experience a plus! A minimum of 2 years’ experience working with business leaders as a strategic partner through functional knowledge, business acumen and influencing skills will be required.
• Proven ability to develop talent pipelines, create and execute on effective business and action plans as well as demonstrated negotiation and project management skills strongly preferred.
• Ability to work independently in a dynamic work environment and demonstrate high comfort level in working with (initially) ambiguous and unstructured projects.
• Ability to travel for conferences, job fairs as needed.
