Talent Selection Analyst

How You’ll Make an Impact 

Assist in development of employee selection systems, such as interviews and simulations 
Gain understanding and experience in performing job analyses, recommending selection system enhancements and ensuring proper documentation  
Leverage applied research of selection processes to improve hire quality, defensibility, efficiency and experience for candidates, hiring managers and recruiters  
Provide day-to-day support of selection tool use in the company  
Ensure assessment configurations are correct, up-to-date and clearly documented for intended jobs  
Educate recruiters, HR partners and business leaders concerning selection assessments, their use and their utility  
Ensure assessment solutions, policies, guidelines and advice are consistent with Spectrum’s values and policies and with legal and professional standards  
Assist with projects and vendors to meet timelines and internal customer needs efficiently 
Partner with functional area leaders, colleagues across HR disciplines, legal and other groups to ensure alignment of selection activities with other human capital initiatives and enterprise strategies 

What You’ll Bring to Spectrum  

Required Qualifications 

Education

Master’s Degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology or a closely related field or in the process of obtaining Master’s degree

Experience 

2+ years of experience conducting applied research projects

Knowledge

Understanding, coupled with pragmatic application of research design and measurement principles and of regulatory and professional guidelines for selection and assessment

Skills

Oral and written communication skillsSuperior analytical and interpersonal skillsInterpreting statistical results commonly used in selection research; Excel or Access

Abilities

Judgment and perspective to balance human capital management strategies with solid business principlesExecution-focus and results orientation with the ability to translate strategy and complex thinking, breaking it into specific, understandable goals, tactics, action plans and deliverablesAbility to collaborate with, and influence diverse sets of stakeholders across all organizational levelsAbility to learn SPSS or similar statistical package for data manipulation and analyses

Preferred Qualifications 
Experience 

2+ years of experience developing, validating and implementing selection assessments
