Responsibilities

Summary: As a Systems Support Specialist, you'll provide world-class tech support to fellow employees in a complex environment that moves at a lightning fast pace. You‘ll work within a team, anticipating and responding to the needs of Frontdoor team members in technical distress. Your suite of tech-savvy skills will enable you to profile, build, procure, and install approved SW/HW, diagnose any emergent hardware and software ailments, and maintain the equipment employees use in their day to day work.  Your communication skills and friendly personality should set a fellow team members mind at ease, knowing that they are in the right hands to fix their technical problems. 

Responsibilities: 

Be the owner of IT Systems: investigate, troubleshoot, and fix problems when needed; utilize IT systems and procedures to continuously improve service methodology. Maintain, inventory, troubleshoot and repair corporate systems. Communicate with the team, including leadership, to provide key problem status updates and ensure compliance with Frontdoor standards and security/compliance policies. Work with your peers to grow and evolve our current systems and tools, improving efficiency and collaboration between employees globally. Manage internal department specific projects in a professional and timely manner. May include other duties as applied.  Qualifications

Required Skills:  

Solid Experience troubleshooting both Windows and OSX Solid Experience installing, configuring and maintaining Windows and OSX Extremely customer-service oriented Some Experience with a ticketing system such as JIRA Service Desk or similar service desk software Strong time management and organization skills; able to prioritize multiple requests effectively and autonomously Display a passion for improving systems, process-building, and documentation Strong written and verbal communication skills Experience with Leading or Managing assigned projects to completion Able to anticipate problems before they arise and take preventive action or escalate recommendations appropriately 
 

Preferred Skills:  

Physical Role Requirements: Be seated at a computer intermittently for up to eight hours a day.  Move up to 10 pounds occasionally, by lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, or otherwise repositioning objects.  Sitting for long periods of time while using office equipment such as computers and phones.  Repetitive motions using hands and digits; such as movement of wrists, hands and fingers while picking, pinching and typing during your normal working environment.   

Minimum Education, Licensure and Professional Certification requirements: High school diploma or equivalent required, Associate or Bachelor’s degree in IT preferred 

 
Minimum Experience required (number of years necessary to perform role): 1+ years of IT experience required with a wide range of technology.
