Systems Sr Engineer Job ID 224371 Posted 16-Jun-2025 Service line Corporate Segment Role type Full-time Areas of Interest Digital & Technology/Information Technology Location(s) Richardson - Texas - United States of America **About The Role:** As a CBRE Systems Sr. Engineer, you will manage and allocate infrastructure resources by monitoring and maintaining system platforms in support of CBRE's information technology operations. This job is part of the System Engineering job function. They are responsible for successfully delivering and monitoring software design requirements and enhancements to improve efficiency. **What You'll Do:** + Identify and resolve system service failures by identifying and analyzing the situation and provides corrective actions. + Develop, install, and test new network hardware and software releases, system upgrades, evaluates and installs patches and resolves software related problems. + Monitor systems activities and fine tune system parameters and configuration to optimize performance and ensure security of systems. + Provide secondary support for network hardware and software such as web applications and wide area networks (WAN) systems. + Install and maintain UNIX servers while serving as a technical lead for projects with complex requirements. + Provide senior level expertise on decisions and priorities regarding systems architecture. + Engage with application development teams on current infrastructure projects. + Evaluate existing solutions and infrastructure and provide recommendations. + Approve system designs and function as a project lead. + Manage and maintain the hardware, software, security, and connectivity to the Internet as well as middleware components. + Apply advanced knowledge to seek and develop new, better methods for accomplishing both individual and department objectives. + Showcase expertise in own job field and in-depth knowledge of other job disciplines within the organization function. + Mentor others to develop in-depth knowledge and expertise in most or all areas within the function. + Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. Anticipates potential objections and persuades others, often at senior levels and of divergent interest, to adopt a different point of view. + Impact the achievement of customer, operational, project, or service objectives across multi-discipline teams.
