Systems Integration Engineer - Transit & Rail

WSP is seeking a highly skilled and experienced **Systems Integration Engineer-Transit & Rail** to join our Transit & Rail team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3+ years of experience in systems integration, with a strong background in rail and transit systems and rolling stock including rail and bus applications. This role involves overseeing the integration of various subsystems, ensuring seamless operation, and compliance with industry standards.
This candidate will be based out of the project office in **Los Angeles, CA.**
**Key Responsibilities:**
+ Lead the integration of various subsystems within transit and rail projects, ensuring compatibility and seamless operation.
+ Develop and manage system requirements, ensuring they are met throughout the project lifecycle.
+ Coordinate and manage interfaces between different subsystems and stakeholders to ensure smooth integration.
+ Conduct verification and validation activities to ensure systems meet specified requirements and standards.
+ Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including integration plans, interface control documents, and test plans.
+ Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure project milestones are met.
+ Ensure all systems integration activities comply with relevant industry standards and regulations.
+ Identify and resolve technical issues related to systems integration in a timely manner.
+ Analyzes project task needs, changes and enhancements and makes recommendations.
**Qualifications:**
+ Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
+ A Master’s degree is preferred.
+ Minimum of 3+ years of experience in systems integration, preferably in the transit and rail industry and with bus and rail vehicles experience.
+ Proficiency in systems engineering tools and methodologies. Experience with rail signaling, train control systems, and communication systems is highly desirable.
+ Professional certifications such as Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP) or Project Management Professional (PMP) are preferred.
+ Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
+ Occasional travel may be required to various project sites.

Compensation:
Expected Salary (all locations): $90,800 - $129,800
WSP USA is providing the compensation range that the company in good faith believes it might pay and offer for this position, based on the successful applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities in addition to internal equity and specific geographic location.
