What you will do BigBear.ai is looking for a Systems Engineer/Administrator to join a team in Herndon, VA. The candidate will work within a cross-functional Agile scrum team and will be responsible for integrating and troubleshooting deployed systems. Responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of server infrastructure with a strong focus on Linux and other UNIX-based operating systems Manage and secure a hybrid environment, which involves overseeing access and security policies, particularly through SSH. Proficient in container-based environments, such as Alpine, ensuring system stability and scalability. Responsible for creating and maintaining automation scripts using Python and Bash to streamline tasks and manage system configurations efficiently. What you need to have A Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of relevant experience OR a Master’s degree with 3 years of relevant experience; an additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree requirement Must maintain an active TS/SCI with current poly Significant experience administering Linux or other UNIX-based systems. Experience working with Alpine or other container-based operating environments. Skilled in working with DevOps or DevSecOps teams to deploy and troubleshoot systems Experience creating and maintaining shell scripts, including Python and Bash Managing SSH access and security policies across a hybrid environment.
