You will be the Systems Engineer Staff for the Engineering Aeronautics team, which is responsible for resolving technical problems associated with configuration issues and leading complex projects.

What You Will Be Doing

As the Systems Engineer Staff, you will be responsible for resolving technical problems associated with configuration issues as they relate to newly changed requests and engineering change proposals. Your responsibilities will include:

Resolving technical problems associated with configuration issues and change requests.Working with a team to prepare, approve, and track closure of change requests and engineering change proposals.Leading complex projects and reporting results to program leadership.Mentoring newer employees and providing guidance on process development and improvement activities.Communicating and presenting to management, IPTs, and the customer.

Who You Are

The ideal candidate will be a experienced systems engineer with a strong background in engineering and technology, and at least 9-15 years of professional experience. You will have excellent technical leadership skills, and the ability to lead complex projects and mentor newer employees.

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must be able to obtain a secret clearance. A company-sponsored interim secret is required to start.


Basic Qualifications:
Engineering or other technical degree

Experience working with cross functional teams.

Experience with configuration management principles

fca/pca audit experience

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
