The Opportunity:

As Systems Engineer (Solutions), you will play a critical role in deriving and presenting cost estimates based on proposed solution architectures and client-specific requirements. Working closely with sales, solution architects, and product teams, you will analyze enterprise application designs—including licensing models, integration points, scalability needs, and deployment strategies—to develop accurate and competitive cost models. Your responsibilities include translating technical designs into financial implications, preparing total cost of ownership (TCO) analyses, and supporting value-based selling strategies. You will also engage directly with clients to explain cost drivers, justify pricing structures, and align solutions with their business and budgetary goals, ensuring a smooth transition from proposal to implementation

Analyses the customer’s and other stakeholders’ needs whatever the used means (e.g. advanced studies, simulations, mock-ups, models, prototypes, …)

Describes the missions, functions and requirements on the sub-systemFormalises the specification and the architectural design to develop the sub-systemPrepares and performs the solution or product integration, verification and validation tests.

Responsibilities:

Perform the engineering requirements analysisProvides required technical documentation:Design Documents (Preliminary, Final)Statement of Works for suppliers and external contractorsInput/output requirement for Interfaces ManagementInput for specialty engineering: RAMS, EMC/EMI, Cyber-Security.Input for Installation ManagementAssists the bid team to scope and cost engineering work packagesWork with contractors to produce costing, ensure that they deliver on timeReports and follow-up the KPIs for the sub-systemParticipate to progress meetingsAnalyse and Correct the Problem Changes Requests

Requirements:

Tertiary qualification in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics Engineering or related discipline (essential)Demonstrated engineering competencies required for qualification to INCOSE CSEP (or equivalent, or ASEP) are highly desirable.Minimum of 5 years’ experience in an Engineering roleAble to decipher technical scope from high level requirementsExperience with Governmental and/or complex IT ProjectsStrong oral and written communications skills.Experience working on Software Security projectsExperience working within a Systems Engineering lifecycleKnowledge of Thales Products and Processes
