This is an exciting opportunity to work on the Fleet Ballistic Missile Program (FBM), a 63-year-old Program with a long-standing history of Mission Success and of a strong partnership with our Navy Customer! Are you an enthusiastic individual with a strong planning background that can thrive in an exciting fast-paced dynamic environment?
The new Systems Engineering Sr will support the Electrical Ground Support Equipment (EGSE) team in the integration of facilities and launch operations for the FBM program to support Test Flights.
• Play a critical role integrating Facilities IPT and the EGSE team.
• Support Facilities Working groups and interfaces directly with Navy Partners and resources.
• Be knowledgeable in launch operations, logistics, Cape Canaveral Space Force facilities, test, design and build, and electrical design or ground support equipment.
• Experience with test flights, range safety protocols, and technical documentation.
Typical minimums to be successful in this role are a Bachelor's degree and 5-9 years of professional experience.
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in systems, electrical, software, computer engineering or information technology from an accredited college or a related discipline or equivalent experience/combined education
• Experience with Range Safety protocols and Range Reportability requirements
• Experience coordinating with flight test, operations, facilities, and DoD/NASA/FBM Partners at Cape Canaveral Space Force station.
• Must be able to obtain a Secret security clearance, with the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret Clearance (requires US citizenship)
Desired Skills:
• Missile, Space, or GSE design and test experience with one or more subsystems or disciplines outside of Systems Engineering
• Risk Mitigation experience
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong social skills, and ability to build consensus among peers while building solid relationships with team members
• Experience as an Operations Compliance Manager or Control Officer at the 45th CCSFS.
• Active TS clearance
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
Clearance Level: Top Secret

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
