Position Overview

We are seeking a Systems Engineer with specialized expertise in Modeling and Simulations (M&S) for the Airspace and Surface Radar Reconnaissance (ASRR) system. The M&S SME will be responsible for developing end-to-end models of ASRR system performance, evaluating partner modeling approaches, and guiding development of emulators and stimulators for the Systems Integration Lab (SIL). The ideal candidate will work closely with the U.S. Army, foreign military clients, and internal engineering teams to ensure successful modeling and simulation support for ISR systems integration and testing.

Responsibilities System Performance Modeling and Analysis:Develop end-to-end models of ASRR system performance based on requirements specifications and test results across all subsystems including aerostat platform, ISR sensors, ELINT systems, and ground control elementsCreate performance models that accurately represent system capabilities, limitations, and operational scenarios for mission planning and analysisIntegrate models from multiple subsystems to provide comprehensive system-level performance predictions and trade-off analysisValidate model accuracy against actual test data and operational performance metricsPartner Model Evaluation and Validation:Evaluate the validity of partners' use of models including EMI/EMC models, radar scene generators, and other specialized simulation tools for development and verification of subsystem performance requirementsReview partner modeling approaches and assumptions to ensure consistency with overall ASRR system requirements and operational scenariosCoordinate with ASRR partners to establish modeling standards and ensure interoperability between different simulation environmentsProvide technical guidance to partners on modeling best practices and validation methodologiesSIL Simulation Support and Development:Guide development of emulators and stimulators to represent ASRR operational workflows and evaluate Ground Control Station (GCS) functionality in the Systems Integration LabDesign and implement simulation scenarios that accurately represent operational environments and mission profilesDevelop interfaces between simulation systems and actual hardware to support integrated testing and validationSupport SIL testing activities by providing realistic operational scenarios and performance benchmarksModel Development and Integration:Contribute to creation of modeling and simulation requirements within system specifications and architecture documentationSupport system-level testing and verification
