Northrop Grumman’s Defense Sector is currently seeking a Systems Engineer level 2 or 3 to support our AARGM-ER missile program with our talented Advanced Weapons team.
The selected candidate will be required to work full-time, on-site at our facility in Northridge, CA. Relocation assistance, while not guaranteed, may be available.
The ideal candidate will have experience in systems engineering lifecycle of missile / weapon system development program(s), supporting requirements development / verification activities and sell-off. They will have technical knowledge in one or more of the subsystems of missile/weapon system, e.g., RF/sensors, guidance, navigation, control, telemetry/communication, and airframe. This candidate will work directly with the program’s Systems Engineering Integrated Product Team (IPT) Lead supporting requirements management as well as requirement sell-off activities.

Bachelor of Science in an Engineering discipline and a minimum of five (5) years of systems engineering experience with any exposure to requirements development and requirements verification activities; will consider Master of Science in an Engineering discipline and a minimum of three (3) years of systems engineering experience with any exposure to requirements development and requirements verification activitiesExperience in systems engineering tools, such as DOORS, CAMEO.Experience in configuration management and product lifecycle management tool(s).Must have proven experience in communicating with peers in a methodical, detailed and process-oriented fashion.Must have demonstrated experience in providing solutions to a variety of technical problems under general supervision.Active DoD Secret Clearance.Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in Model-Based Systems Engineering approach.Experience working in the defense industry or weapon systemsSalary Range: $89,400.00 - $134,200.00Salary Range 2: $110,300.00 - $165,500.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
