**What you Will Do:**
Pratt and Whitney Military Engines Engine Design & Systems Integration (EDSI) is looking for a Digital Thread Architect to lead within a next generation military propulsion program as we develop a new paradigm for data management via Digital Transformation. This position represents an exciting opportunity to innovate, fundamentally improving P&W’s systems engineering and integration processes.
A unique customer requirement set is driving advancements in Digital capabilities to transform the systems engineering process for gas turbine engine development. Working closely with the digital integration lead and overall program engineering team, the Digital thread architect will be responsible for advancing the progression of our systems engineering processes to fully capture ongoing advances in Digital and MBSE tools and processes.
Leveraging a strong analytical/technical background, familiarity with PW gas turbine engine design process, and digital tools, the digital thread architect will work with Component Integrated Product Teams (CIPT’s) and systems teams to identify targeted opportunities, define scope, and aide in execution of key initiatives to demonstrate this transformation to our internal and external customers. Close integration with the program Digital Lead and subject matter experts will be required to be effective.
The Digital thread architect will be accountable for shaping and evolving the digital thread and it’s deployment across the systems and module center engineering teams and ensuring alignment with program objectives and company Model Based Enterprise (MBE) efforts, as well as for shaping and deploying future state EDSI processes aligned with program objectives. This position requires the ability to conduct briefings to P&W program and senior leadership, as well as to our customer, regarding progress towards meeting program and transformation objectives.
+ In concert with the Digital Integration Lead, and MBE efforts, define program strategies to develop, deploy, and leverage digital tools and processes to transform systems engineering processes across EDSI and program CIPTs
+ Leverage understanding of PW development process, and a gas turbine engine analytical/technical background to multiply effectiveness of ongoing digital efforts across the program
+ Work closely with Digital Lead and program SME’s to interpret customer digital requirements and gain alignment on digital environment development.
+ Identify opportunities to progress the digital transformation rooted in adding value to the program while meeting or exceeding requirements through close collaboration with CIPT’s, systems groups, and the customer
+ Leverage strengths of existing team in systems design, design integration, weapon systems integration, and systems analysis to shape and execute local transformation initiatives that move team towards future state systems engineering processes, actively lead in Agile project management, and prepare and present technical presentations to internal and external customers
**Qualifications You Must Have:**
+ Bachelor's degree in engineering and minimum 12+ years of related experience OR a Master's degree and minimum 10+ years of related experience
+ Minimum 3 yr+ experience in Systems Engineering lifecycle, decomposition of customer specifications and system level requirements into sub-system and piece part requirements, generating requirement verification criteria and plans, integrating subsystems with engines or aircraft, Model Based Systems Engineering using SysML and preferably Cameo Systems Modeler.

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.
Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee’s personal responsibility.
The salary range for this role is 147,000 USD - 295,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
