Job Description
This exciting opportunity invites an experienced Reliability and Maintainability Engineer to join a dedicated team located in Everett, WA. The chosen candidate will be instrumental in designing, certifying, and supporting commercial airplanes by applying advanced reliability and maintainability engineering design, modeling, and analysis principles. This role is crucial in supporting airplane development for optimal performance, lifecycle economics, and compliance with safety and airworthiness requirements.
ResponsibilitiesUtilize modeling, simulation, and data analytics methodologies, including statistical and probabilistic analyses.Serve as a technical specialist supporting other functional design groups during all stages of the airplane product development and support lifecycle.Aid in determining program technical performance measures such as schedule reliability, airplane operational availability, and maintenance cost.Design for Reliability: Safety airplane and system design reliability requirements validation, verification, and allocation to suppliers.Conduct failure modes, rates, effects, propagation, and detection analysis.Participate in architecture operational provisions and safety certification analysis.Support reliability durability testing.Design for Maintainability: Validate and verify airplane and system design maintainability requirements.Perform task time analysis and maintainability evaluation using digital tools, including virtual and augmented reality.Assess airplane technical performance measures such as schedule reliability, airplane operational availability, and maintenance costs.Interact with airplane system suppliers, business partners, airline customers, airplane development program leaders, and functional management.Engage in team involvement and individual effort problem-solving, managing multiple actions and assignments.Essential SkillsBachelor of Science degree or higher from an ABET or similar accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry.8 or more years' related work experience in an engineering field.5 or more years of Reliability Engineering experience in commercial aviation.Experience in airplane systems design or engineering analysis such as Propulsion, Electrical Power, Mechanical, Network, Fuels, Pneumatic, Interiors, Flight Controls, Hydraulics, Avionics, and Fuels.Fault Tree Analysis experience in commercial airplane certification.Proficiency in FTA software tools such as CAFTA or FaultTree.Experience in FTA integration for commercial airplanes.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience utilizing Model Based Systems Engineering tools.Experience with project planning and execution.Technical leadership experience.Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry.Work Environment
The position is onsite, located in Everett, WA, and requires a U.S. Person for Export Control compliance. The work schedule is full-time, first shift, with start and end times between 5:00 AM and 5:30 PM. The role involves high levels of communication within the RM Engineering organization and with program teams, suppliers, and partners. The environment fosters collaboration, problem-solving, and requires managing multiple assignments.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $70.00 - $75.00/hr.
