Job Description
We are seeking a talented Sr Systems Engineer to join our Radar Technologies department. In this role, you will lead the development of modern target tracking radar capabilities designed to detect and track air targets in challenging environments such as cluttered and electronically contested spaces. Your expertise will be crucial in performing system analysis and trades, developing new architectures and algorithms, and generating systems and software requirements.
ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement system engineering strategies for modern target tracking radar capabilities.Conduct system analysis and trades to identify optimal solutions.Design new architectures and algorithms for air target detection and tracking.Generate comprehensive systems and software requirements.Collaborate with software and hardware engineering teams to define computational needs.Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team on backlog planning, implementation approaches, integration, and test plans.Analyze data from performance simulations and field tests to troubleshoot issues and develop fixes.Represent the company at technical reviews, meetings, and formal design reviews.Essential SkillsExtensive expertise in algorithm development, Matlab, radar, phased array, track filter design, and data association.Detailed knowledge of multiple model tracking, coordinate conversions, trajectory tracking algorithms, and pulse Doppler radar systems.Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in engineering or related technical discipline with progressive engineering experience (18+ years for Bachelor's, 16+ years for Master's, 13+ years for PhD).Experience with advanced tracking architectures and designs, especially those developed by Blackman.Demonstrated experience with data association algorithms, track filter design, and target dynamic model design.Proficiency in systems tools and simulations using Matlab, Python, and/or C.Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills for interfacing with departments and external representatives.Customer-focused with the ability to work independently or within a team environment.Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with development tools such as Confluence, Jira, and Git.Experience in developing air traffic control or air defense tracking capabilities.Proven ability to develop algorithms capable of operating in complex environments with clutter and interference.Previous experience working with the Department of Defense.Work Environment

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $160000.00 - $250000.00/yr.
