Job Summary:
KBR is seeking a Missions Systems Engineer to join our team supporting PMA-231 Advanced Programs. The successful candidate will support the design, development, integration, and testing of systems providing solutions to customer requirements to meet evolving challenges. The job does not offer remote work; all work will be done onsite at Lexington Park, MD. Travel for the position will be <10% per year.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Provide direct support to Cooperative Engagement Capability (CEC) and the Advanced Mission Capabilities (AMC) Program Managers for the upgrade of the Advanced Hawkeye (AHE). Overseeing the requirements, budget, design, integration, test, evaluation and fielding of aircraft hardware/software for all E-2 variants.
Read and interprets drawings from various vendors.
Read and interprets Interface Design Drawings (IDD), Interface Control Documents (ICD), and requirements tracked in Dynamic Object-Oriented Requirements System (DOORS).
Utilize critical thinking and employ logical, fact-oriented methodology to identify and resolve complex system integration issues.
Participate in AGILE orientated Systems Engineering Technical Reviews (SETR).
As a team member, liaise with the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) and sub vendors to maintain cost and budget alignment/milestones.
Review, evaluate, and verify that the developed subsystems meet contracted Navy specifications and requirements defined in the Statement of Work (SOW) and requirements.
Prepares recommendations and solutions for specific areas in question.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or applied science from an accredited college and at least 2 years of professional-related experience.
Must have either demonstrated performance in System Engineering or a detailed knowledge of CEC/AHE.
A current DoD Top-Secret Clearance with a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) completed within the last 5 years is required. Applicant selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
Preferred Experience
The candidate must be able to handle task specific questions and engage in advanced problem solving. Support may include physical testing, analyze data, and interpret information.
AGILE experience (Jira)
Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) exposure
DOORS Database Experience
The candidate must be eager to learn to become the Subject Matter Expert in the assigned fields.

40 hours/week
Compensation:
$92,730 - $139,040
The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s location, knowledge, skills, abilities, and/or experience, contract affordability, and in consideration of internal parity.
