This is What You Will do in This Role: ​

Audit customers’ existing operations, understand their current and future challenges and develop design levels and documentation to capture solution requirementsAnalysis of customer data to establish design level and identify opportunitiesIdentify suitable concepts and solutions to meet customer needs and develop models to evaluate optionsIdentify and develop preferred options which best meet the customer’s requirements and are within our capabilities to deliverUse of simulation tools to validate solutions and test sensitivitiesManage any consultancy projects to meet deliverables and customer expectations within budgetReview of RFP/tender documentationPreparation of proposals and documentation in a timely mannerPreparation of systems Description of OperationKeep abreast of Dematic products, solutions and software and those of our competitorsAssist sales with the preparation and delivery of customer presentationsAssist sales and guide the customer through the solution development process and help build strong customer relationships and company credibilityLead internal and external customer facing discussions to explain solutions and articulate the benefits and valueEnsure preparation and submission of proposals and support documentation in a timely mannerExercise sound commercial judgementLiaise internally with the regional and international Dematic Systems Sales and Sales Support teamsFoster and develop relationships with market partnersFacilitate a smooth handover of new projects from sales to operationsParticipate in initial project workshops and review software functional specifications to ensure delivery to expectationsAudit project implementations to measure performance against expectationsSupport with training & development of new and junior staff to grow capability and capacity of the team.Develop specific design tools and standards

Tertiary qualification in an engineering or scientific disciplineInternational working experienceIndustry product and application knowledge in LogisticsExperience with the application of AutomationExperience in managing a consultative selling processAbility to engage and influence customer stakeholders up to General Management levelSkilled in Simulation and the use of Simulation software packagesAbility to analyse and interpretAbility to logically solve problems, think laterally and demonstrate initiativeAbility to understand and explain technical concepts and solutionsStrong verbal and written communication skillsStrong customer focus and relationship skillsStrong commercial acumenPositive and enthusiastic attitude with a high level of commitment and determinationCustomer service and satisfaction mindsetAbility to work in a team and take up the leadership role when necessaryWilling to travel
