Position Overview 

Siemens Digital Industries Software seeks a proven and motivated individual to lead the Technology Solutions Sales organization for the Siemens EDA Electronic Board Systems (EBS) business unit, reporting directly to the Senior Vice President, EDA Global Sales. In this role, you will lead a global technical sales and business development team in driving multi-year new business campaigns in emerging technology areas for EBS. You will work across a globally distributed organization, collaborating with regional sales leaders and key stakeholders in R&D to identify and drive plans for high-impact investments and transformation across the company. The successful candidate for this role will have deep experience within the EDA and semiconductor industries and the collaborative orientation to partner with senior leaders across multiple functions and effectively drive business transformation initiatives to meet the needs of a rapidly evolving industry.   


Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following activities: 

Leading and developing a high-performing team of Account Technology Managers: providing coaching and guidance on developing annual territory plans and opportunity plans with consideration of long-term business growth; supporting effective collaboration across Sales, Technical Sales, and Portfolio unit teams; and facilitating the ongoing development of team processes and procedures Defining sales territories to meet global objectives on an annual basis and assessing annual business objectives for gaps, issues, risk, and fit against the Portfolio Unit strategy and the ATM territory and/or account strategy; developing and presenting proposals on how to fill the gaps or de-risk plans  Contributing to global multi-year plans to achieve long range goals, including collaborating with peers in the Portfolio Unit to align plans and address any gaps along with prioritizing new product requirements and developing the overall product strategy along with the field to achieve business targets and strategic objectives.  Helping the broader sales organization understand how to leverage our solutions to customer challenges that results in new incremental business for the Portfolio/Product Line Routinely evaluating the go-to-market process, including discovery and leads, customer motivation, engagement qualification, customer evaluation, and ultimately business closure Leading the team in evaluating which sales campaigns are working and which ones need improvement by connecting with a wide range of people including ATMs, AEs, AE Management, sales partners and Portfolio Unit management to understand product and solution fit to customer needs Partnering with the broader field and product marketing teams to define and execute on a set of strategic seminars, webinars, and other outboard marketing activities with the goal of driving new leads with interest in our solutions 

Qualifications: 

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science and 12+ years’ experience in the EDA and semiconductor design or electronics industries, or equivalent combination of education and experience  Demonstrated success leading and developing a high-performing technical sales team, modeling the desire and ability to uncover emerging market trends that develop into new business opportunities; drive process and programmatic improvements; and build winning technical sales solutions and new business strategies Strong prospecting, uncovering, demand creation, and negotiation skills and experience creating and driving technical campaigns to successful closure  Success leading in a global, matrixed environment and building relationships and partnerships, both internally and externally; ability to quickly build trust with senior leaders as well as collaborate with and motivate a cross-functional team to develop solutions and overcome obstacles Outstanding interpersonal, oral and written communication, and presentation skills to all organizational levels, including executive, C-Level leadership internally and externally Excellent business judgment and demonstrated success delivering results that are optimized at the company level (balanced between company and customer), then team, then yourself  Ability to handle competing priorities with an ability to address and solve problems in a timely manner   

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements: 

30%+ travel required Job location: preferable in NA near a major airport

The pay range for this position is $226,700 - $453,400 annually with a target incentive of 30% of the base salary. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
