Systems Architect Engineer

Collaborating with the Software Development Team to oversee the design, development and testing of highly available, standardized solutions across the plant.

Establishing Coding Standards, Guidelines and project practices for the team, including the definition of Agile working methods and the introduction of CI/CD Practices.

Key Area of Responsibility:

Architecture and implementaation of software solutions for manufacturing systems with consideration of system aspects and their relationship to Production. Work with the Software Team to: Standardise and Reduce the number of Shop Floor applications, selecting the most appropriate technology. Definition of Coding Standards/Development Practices/Code Review processes Implementation of CI/CD processes to support automated software builds and testing Identify & apply, where appropriate improvements to manufacturing systems and test methodologies Support Software Team with hands-on development of core functionality Working with Software Development Team to: Reduction and Standardisation of Shop Floor Applications including a modular approach Definition of Coding Standards/Development Practices Ensure CI/CD processes are automating software build/testing processes Maintaining documentation showing the system landscape and connected systems Technology selection appropriate to the requirement Working with other Plants to share know-how and, where applicable share solutions across Plants to create Global Platforms Aligning with Global Functions and other Plants to ensure that Global Standards are being followed and that we are not duplicating functionality across multiple locations. Creating and maintaining documentation of the System Landscape and connected systems, analysing the current state and recommending optimisations to drive system consolidation.  Work according to the I.M.S. (Integrated Management System) which includes ISO 9K, 18K, 14K, 27K, and 22301 as applicable

Required Experience:

Working experience of C# Proven technical competence and leadership during and after projects development phases. Strong technical expertise, able to drive a culture of innovation and change within the wider team. 10% travel is expected

Required Skills:

Educational background in Electrical/Electronic/Mechanical Engineering At least 3-year proven experience in Manufacturing industryG Good personal skills are characterised by high initiative, analytical ability, and technical creativity. Excellent communication skills with fellow colleagues SAP Digital Manufacturing SQL Server WinForms/WPF (C#) ASP.NET/Web Services (C#) JSON/Microservices/REST API Usage PLC Operations/Integration e.g. OPC UA SAP ERP Azure DevOps - CI/CD Processes Team working Business English Proficiency with International experience
