We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Systems and Application Engineering Leader (m/w/d) to drive excellence across our global engineering teams. This role will oversee multiple teams of HVAC systems engineers and application engineers located in North America, China, and Europe. 

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and scaling systems engineering capabilities, enhancing our approach to testing & development, fostering innovation, and ensuring alignment with strategic business objectives.

We're looking for an exceptional engineering leader and transformation specialist with a strong track record in building and scaling high-performing engineering teams, while successfully introducing new capabilities across organisations. You’ll bring deep expertise in HVAC or heat pump system development, having led multiple end-to-end product development cycles.

 

JOB DUTIES:

Lead and manage geographically distributed teams of systems and application engineers Develop and implement a global strategy for systems engineering excellence, including tools, processes, and best practices Drive collaboration across regions to ensure consistency, knowledge sharing, and technical alignment Partner with product management, R&D, and commercial teams to translate customer needs into robust system architectures and application solutions. Collaborate closely with HVAC appliance manufacturers to support the integration and adaptation of our technologies into their products Mentor and grow engineering talent, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements across all regions. Monitor and report on key performance indicators, project milestones, and team effectiveness Identify and eliminate operational bottlenecks to accelerate commercial growth and market responsiveness Expand and elevate our global testing infrastructure, boosting capacity and advancing capabilities across all laboratory sites

 

YOU MUST HAVE:

Strong experience in either systems or application engineering, with at least 5 years in a leadership role Proven track record of managing global teams and delivering complex engineering programs Deep understanding of HVAC or heat pump systems and applications, leading multiple end-to-end product development cycles Strong strategic thinking, communication, and stakeholder management skills Fluency in English  Open to international travel on a frequent basis

Multicultural leadership experience Familiarity with digital tools and platforms used in modern engineering environments Experience with systems engineering frameworks (e.g., MBSE, V-model) and tools Ability to influence cross-functional teams and drive change in a matrixed organisation Proficiency in German or Czech is a plus, but not considered essential
