Systems Analyst-Telematics

GFL is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Systems Analyst-Telematics to support the integration, installation, training, and support of advanced in-cab technology solutions. This role requires extensive travel, hands-on technical work, and close collaboration with teams to enhance fleet safety and efficiency through cutting-edge technology. The ideal candidate will ensure that all relevant systems are deployed correctly, are functioning efficiently, and report all feedback to the line manager.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate internal & external teams to facilitate installation & maintenance of in-cab systems, including in-house developed and 3rd party solutions.Provide implementation support and monitoring of mobile devices through a Mobile Device Management (MDM) platform for secure and efficient operation.Conduct on-site support and troubleshooting to resolve hardware and software issues, including conducting training sessions for both drivers and staff on effective utilization of in-cab & related systems.Communicate feedback between system users and the product management team.Develop and distribute comprehensive documentation and training materials tailored to operational needs.Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to test, implement, and enhance new in-cab technology solutions.Monitor fleet technology performance and recommend upgrades or improvements to enhance operational efficiency.Assist product leads in monitoring rollout plans to minimize disruption to business operations.Learn & maintain knowledge of the waste industry, technology capabilities, and contract requirements.Education, Training, Experience Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field (preferred).Relevant IT certifications are a plus.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Excellent written & verbal communication skillsStrong problem solving, decision-making, & analytical skillsExperience using Geotab or similar fleet telematics platforms is strongly preferredStrong MS Excel experience is a mustProven experience in customer service rolesAbility to travel as requiredMust be a self-motivated contributing team member with strong organizational skillsStrive for continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the governance processes.Ability to conduct meetings, training sessions, and educate team members and key business stakeholders.
