Who We Need on Our Team
The systems analyst plays a key role working within a small, collaborative and agile development team building the Customer API Program. The systems analyst will take on a dual role as a product owner at the API team level and as a systems analyst for the Customer API program.
The Customer API team is looking for a self-starter who will use their technical experience to embrace the Product Owner role (40% of time), owning the team backlog and working directly with Product Management, acting as the customer proxy to the development team.
We are also looking for someone capable of also functioning as an API systems analyst (60% of time) capable of writing API contracts, analyzing existing core services, offering solutions based on interim and long term architectures. The systems analyst is comfortable working with external customers and owning our external developer documentation.
The ideal candidate is someone that knows how to navigate the product owner role, has experience with the API design process and understands the nuances of B2B data integrations.
Primary Responsibilities:
Build, refine and prioritize the API team backlog in alignment with the program vision and roadmap.Collaborate with product management and program stakeholders, translate business/functional requirements into easily understandable technical requirements that are deemed ready for development and communicate those details to various technical and non-technical audiencesPerform analysis on new feature development for our API productCreate/understand system integration diagrams and perform gap analysisWrite API contracts for a wide variety of logistics products and servicesAct as an agile Product Owner (write user stories, objectives, lead the team in agile ceremonies)This position is on-site and will reside in the greater Seattle, WA. area at one of the following locations depending on availability. Additional InformationExpected base salary: $100,000 to $145,000
