The Systems Analyst I analyzes how well software, hardware, and the wider IT system fits the business needs of Shamrock Foods or of a client. They will write requirements for new systems and may also help implement them and monitor their effectiveness.
Essential Duties:
Implements computer system requirements by defining and analyzing system problems, designing and testing standards and solutions. Defines application problem by conferring with clients, evaluating procedures and processes. Develops solution by preparing and evaluating alternative workflow solutions. Controls solutions by establishing specifications and coordinating production with programmers. Validates results by testing programs. Ensures operation by training client personnel and providing support. Provides references by writing documentation. Involved in Level I on-call support. Other duties as assigned.Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university or 1-2 years of equivalent experience. Basic SQL and data analysis skills. Problem solving skills. Written and verbal communication skills. High attention to detail. Must be flexible and willing to work the demands of the department which may be subject to evenings, weekends and holidays.Corporate Summary:
