Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Systems Administrator to join our team! In this role you will get to support the Department of Homeland Security Biometric programs, specifically the Biometric at Sea System (BASS) and Biometric Identification Transnational Migration Alert Program (BITMAP).

What You'll Be Doing:

Implement a positive information security program to include Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) compliance for the cloud-based Ares Gateway and Couchbase Database systems residing on either Linux or Windows Servers.Participate with ITS members in generating metrics regarding biometric enrollments conducted and matches received to include geospatially representations.Assist in implementing and documenting approved configuration requirements.Provide occasional surge support for ITS biometric deliveries to include occasional travel to the Summit Pt facility to provision, test, and implement Ares mobile, Ares windows, and/or Ares Gateway capabilities as directed.Coordinate and/or participate in the delivery of server components to include configuration of Amazon Commercial or Government Cloud instances; secure Linux or Windows Servers; Ares Gateway; Couchbase Database; and various supporting applications to support these environments.Establish thresholds and monitor Gateway and database performance, provide metric reporting monthly.Participate in various remote technical meetings with customers and ITS resources to meet customer deliverables.Other duties as assigned.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

Active Secret security clearance or higherMust be able to obtain and maintain requirements for the United States Coast Guard’s (USCG) Privileged User Management Program (PUMP) – DoD Security 8140 certification, at a minimum Security + certification.Must have 2+ years’ experience supporting USCG systems within the USCG’s network environment (CGOne).Must have 2+ years’ experience supporting USCG BASSMust have 2+ years’ experience in meeting DISA STIG compliance with the .mil domain.Must have ability to communicate with various stakeholders and service partners to articulate system status; troubleshooting efforts; root cause analysis; and program needs.


What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or other technical degree from an accredited college / university.5+ years’ experience in supporting USCG systems within CGOne5+ years’ experience in administering Linux or Windows Server

Security Clearance Requirement:

An active Secret security clearance is required for this position.​

Salary Range: $86,700.00 - $151,700.00
