Job Description:At Regions, the Systems Administrator installs, configures, and maintains operating system workstations and servers, including web servers, in support of business processing requirements.
Primary Responsibilities
Performs software installations and upgrades to operating systems and layered software packagesSchedules installations and upgrades and maintains them in accordance with established Information Technology (IT) policies and proceduresMonitors and tunes the system to achieve optimum performance levelsMonitors system software licensing and maintenance agreementsEnsures workstation/server data integrity by evaluating, implementing, and managing appropriate software and hardware solutionsEnsures data/media recoverability by implementing a schedule of system backups and database archive operationsSupports media management through internal methods and procedures or through offsite storage and retrieval servicesDevelops and promotes standard operating proceduresConducts routine hardware and software audits of workstations and servers to ensure compliance with established standards, policies, and configuration guidelinesDevelops and maintains a comprehensive operating system hardware and software configuration database/library of all supporting documentationSome scripting (i.e. PowerShell and Bash)Requirements
Bachelor's degree in a related field or technical training program with four (4) years of related experienceOr, a High School Diploma or GED with eight (8) years of related experienceSkills and Competencies
Ability to multitask and prioritize projectsAbility to work well in a fast-paced team-oriented environmentAbility to work with minimal supervisionExcellent customer service skillsStrong knowledge of operating systemsStrong analytical, problem-solving, and conceptual skillsStrong verbal and written communications skillsExperience in Microsoft SCCM Administration
Experience in BigFix is preferred
This position may be filled at a higher level depending on the candidate's qualifications and relevant experience.
This position is currently offsite and associates will work from their home primarily. They may be expected to go on site for meetings or other events as needed.
