CACI is seeking an experienced and highly skilled SME, Systems Administration Site Lead to join our team to support our customer, U.S. Southern Command (USSOUTHCOM), in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. This position is contingent upon award.  

The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing Enterprise Operations in alignment with ITIL best practices. This role will play a crucial part in ensuring smooth and efficient implementation of changes across USSOUTHCOM Cyber Information Technology Enterprise Services (SCITES). 

Key Responsibilities:  

Manages enterprise IT infrastructure operations and service support for a combatant command, ensuring adherence to regulations and cyber readiness procedures in support of USSOUTHCOM Enterprise Data Center (EDC) operations services 

Demonstrates experience supporting geographically dispersed teams and expertise in DoD Information Assurance policy, including physical security, information security, and cybersecurity practices 

Directs activities related to system planning, testing, development, implementation, enhancement, and operation of IT systems, with a focus on optimizing the Enterprise Information Environment (EIE) 

Leads technical execution, performance management, and training of IT personnel, ensuring completion of mandatory technical training programs 

Monitors progress on projects, evaluations, and inspections, coordinating with section heads to meet operational requirements and deadlines 

Responsible for overseeing the implementation and maintenance of intrusion detection and prevention systems for USSOUTHCOM components 

Applies comprehensive knowledge of IT systems, including operating systems, routers, and firewalls, to provide expert guidance across multiple project assignments 

Functions as a technical expert in areas such as data handling systems, network architecture, and infrastructure management 

May supervise and mentor other IT professionals, providing technical leadership and ensuring adherence to DoD and CCMD standards and policies 

Possesses domain and expert technical knowledge 

Required Qualifications:  

US Citizen with active secret level clearance 

Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or related field 

One or more certifications: CompTIA Server +, Microsoft Certified Azure Administrator Associate, Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA), Certified Network Associate (CCNA) 

Possesses and applies expertise on multiple complex work assignments while supporting multiple projects 

Operates with appreciable latitude in developing methodology and presenting solutions to problems 

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills 

Experience with change management tools and ITSM platforms (ServiceNow) 

 

Preferred Qualifications: 

Experience in a large, distributed IT enterprise 

Knowledge of DevOps practices and principles 

Experience with DoD networks

The proposed salary range for this position is:

$105,100-$231,100
