System Test Automation Engineer
About the Job You’re Considering

Are you a skilled SDET Engineer with a passion for Python development and automation testing? This role offers the opportunity to work on Linux-based platforms using Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) frameworks. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the quality and reliability of software applications, designing and implementing automated test frameworks and scripts that support robust and scalable solutions.

Your RoleDesign, develop, and implement automated test scripts using Python for comprehensive test coverage.Write and maintain test automation code within large and complex Python packages.Collaborate with developers, product managers, and clients to define effective test strategies.Conduct regression, functional, and performance testing to validate software quality.Document and track defects, facilitating timely resolutions with the development team.Maintain and enhance the existing test automation framework and processes.Support code coverage analysis and improvements using embedded/GUI tools.Your Skills and Experience3–7 years of experience in automation testing with strong knowledge of STLC and methodologies.Advanced proficiency in Python programming.Experience with Linux OS and embedded systems (Rocky Linux 8.8 and above preferred).Ability to analyze test results, identify bugs, and resolve issues using tools like Jira.Understanding of C code and embedded systems.Experience with Squish/Squish Coco and test automation tools such as Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, Cypress.Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab), API testing tools (e.g., Postman, SoapUI), and Agile practices.Life at Capgemini
