**Advanced Houston Specialty Hospital** is looking for a **Systems Support Specialist** to support a team of health care and security professionals in our newly renovated facility at **205 Hollow Tree Lane, Spring, TX** . **Position Summary:** Responsible for performing intermediate level systems support work operating automated data processing equipment which has the capabilities of data storage and data computation using several different software applications in compliance with Advanced Specialty Hospitals (ASH) and customer directives. **Essential Functions:** 1. Establish and then maintain the LAN for the facility which includes a computer driven reporting system. 2. Maintain the corporate nation-wide WAN connection through coordination with ASH’s corporate IMA staff. 3. Maintain WAN connectivity with the local client standards. 4. Create and maintain internet connectivity at the facility. 5. Establish and maintain internal LAN operations for the computer lab in the facility’s education department. 6. Coordinate with ASH’s IMS staff in trouble shooting and correcting both computer hardware and software problems for all facility computer systems. 7. Provide staff input on systems upgrades and functional equipment acquisitions. 8. Assist in the technical operation of the computer-driven components of both the facility’s staff and detainee telephone systems. 9. Maintain accountability of all computer items not specifically assigned to other staff. 10. Maintain accountability of detainees and property; adhere to safety practices. 11. Maintain and support HIPPA compliance within IT environment. It is expected that the incumbent shall perform other duties as assigned within his/her scope of work as determined by management. **Education and Experience Requirements:** High school diploma or equivalent, technical training and general knowledge of computers and computer systems, plus five (5) years related experience required. Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record required, unless waive by management. **Post Hire Requirements:** Must successfully complete annual in-service training requirements and maintain appropriate facility clearance.
