Your Role In your daily job you will:
• Design and develop 3D wire harness models using CAD software (e.g., CATIA, NX, or equivalent). Collaborate with electrical and mechanical engineering teams to ensure proper integration of wire harnesses into vehicle systems.
• Define routing paths, clip locations, and protection components (e.g., conduits, tapes, sleeves) for wire harnesses.
• Perform design feasibility studies and ensure compliance with industry standards and OEM requirements.
• Optimize wire harness designs for manufacturability, weight reduction, and cost efficiency.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, including 3D math, BOMs, and design specifications.
• Support prototype builds and resolve design issues during the product development cycle.
• Conduct design reviews and provide technical guidance to internal and external stakeholders.
• Stay updated on emerging technologies and trends in automotive wire harness design.

Your Background
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.  
• Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in automotive wire harness design and development.  
• Strong knowledge of automotive electrical systems, connectors, and wiring standards.  
• Proficiency in CAD tools (e.g., CATIA, Zuken E3, or similar) and PLM systems.  
• Experience with DFMEA, DVP&R, and other engineering validation processes.  
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.  
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.  

Key Responsibilities

1. Technical Leadership:   - Lead the design and development of automotive wire harness systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards (e.g., ISO, SAE, OEM-specific requirements).  
  - Provide technical guidance and mentorship to the engineering team, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.  
2. Project Management:  - Oversee the entire product development lifecycle, from concept to production, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards.    - Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, quality assurance, and supply chain, to ensure seamless project execution.  
3. Innovation and Optimization:
  - Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product performance, reduce costs, and optimize manufacturing processes.   - Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends to incorporate innovative solutions into product designs.  
4. Compliance and Testing:  - Ensure all wire harness designs meet regulatory and safety requirements.    - Oversee testing and validation processes to ensure product reliability and durability.  5. Stakeholder Collaboration:  - Work closely with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver customized solutions.    - Present technical proposals and project updates to senior management and clients.
