System Sales Engineer

As a Systems Sales Engineer based in Sweden, you’ll join a dynamic, customer-focused team within our Systems & Software Solutions organization! You will play a key role in driving growth within the power generation and distribution industry, managing complex sales cycles and building trusted partnerships with end-users, OEMs, EPCs, and contractors. In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

Identify and develop business opportunities across the power generation and distribution sector; Manage complex sales cycles from lead generation through to closure, including offer strategy and contract negotiation; Actively visit customers to promote Emerson’s automation systems, services, and digital solutions; Maintain and grow existing customer accounts, ensuring bookings targets are met or exceeded; Coordinate with proposal, engineering, and project teams to ensure high-quality technical and commercial offerings;  Accurately forecast orders using Emerson’s business systems and support local forecasting and budgeting processes;  Provide technical presentations, product demonstrations, and customized automation solution proposals; Develop and uphold strong relationships with key decision-makers, technical customers, and procurement contacts; Represent Emerson at industry events, conferences, and trade shows; Support marketing and sales excellence initiatives, ensuring CRM data integrity and reporting accuracy; Continuously develop your industry knowledge and technical expertise; Promote Emerson’s "Think Customer" attitude and conduct business with the highest ethical standards.

For This Role, You Will Need:

Proven experience in technical sales, ideally within the power generation and distribution industry; Solid understanding of power automation applications and customer challenges; A university degree in Engineering (B.Sc. or higher) or equivalent technical background; Excellent communication and presentation skills in both Swedish and English; Experience working cross-functionally in a matrix organization and developing strong internal and external relationships;  Ability and willingness to travel within Sweden up to 25–50%;

Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:

Track record of successful sales in complex, consultative environments;  Familiarity with Emerson systems, services, or competitors in the power automation space; Experience working with EPCs and large-scale infrastructure projects.
