We are currently seeking a System Performance Lead to join our team in Noida, Uttar Pradesh (IN-UP), India (IN). **Summary of role:** We are seeking a seasoned Performance Test Lead/Manager to lead the strategic planning and execution of performance testing activities across complex systems. This role involves working closely with architects, DevOps, and QA teams to define the non-functional testing approach that align with central AIB standards, infrastructure requirements, and resource estimation. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in performance engineering and leadership, with a focus on ensuring scalability, reliability, and optimal performance of enterprise applications. **Responsibilities:** · Define and drive the overall non-functional testing strategy across programs and projects. · Collaborate with development, DevOps, and architecture teams to define performance, scalability, and reliability goals. · Assess and identify infrastructure needs for performance testing environments. · Frame performance testing requirements, test strategies, and success criteria aligned with SLAs and KPIs. · Support in devising performance test approach as part of the Quality Assurance Strategy Document · Lead effort estimation and planning for performance engineering activities. · Build, manage, and mentor a high-performing team of performance test engineers. · Monitor execution and ensure timely delivery of performance test results with actionable insights. · Identify performance bottlenecks and work with teams to address root causes. · Provide status reports and recommendations to senior stakeholders. · Support integration of performance testing into CI/CD pipelines for continuous validation. · Generate/obtain test data · Champion performance engineering best practices and advocate for proactive performance tuning. · Monitor environment under test · Participate in defect triage discussions and challenge development perception of priority · Escalate risks and issues to the appropriate level to enable timely mitigation · Ensure defects are raised correctly and in a timely manner using the defect management tool, JIRA **Skills / Experience:** Required: · Windows and Unix or Linux Experience · 8+ years in QA with a strong focus on performance testing and engineering. · Proven leadership in defining non-functional test strategies and planning efforts. · Deep understanding of system architecture, cloud infrastructure (Azure), and microservices. · Strong experience with monitoring tools like Dynatrace, Open Telemetry, Splunk, Prometheus, Grafana. · Strong understanding of Java performance: garbage collection, heap dump analysis, tuning and Java profiling · Ability to assess system capacity, identify bottlenecks, and recommend tuning actions. · API/Microservices test tools & skills: o REST o SOAP o Swagger · Performance test (must have in bold, good to have in blue): o JMeter / HP Load Runner o Prometheus + Grafana o Wiremock · Source control tools (must have in bold): o Bitbucket o Cloudbees o Git o Github · Test Management tools: o JIRA o Confluence · Soft skills: o Demonstrate leadership qualities o Ability to work and learn autonomously o Ability to quickly learn, becoming proficiently knowledgeable of client applications o Excellent communication (written & oral) and interpersonal skills o Ability to push back and insist on resolution o Experience working in Agile environment (Scrum or Kanban) Preferred: · Experience in cloud-native performance testing strategies. · Familiarity with SRE [Service Reliability Engineering] principles and observability practices. · Service virtualization: o Mock-ups & stubs o Docker Containers · Experience working in the Financial Services / Banking Industry _Ideal candidate also will be able lead outside of the release commitments:_ · Maintain and update software, research and instil best practices of work with load generation network (VMs) and performance software (JMeter) · Improve/refactor JMeter scripts/approach · Introduce automation of jobs using CI/CD solution (Cloudbees) · Research and propose ways to automate: o Execution o Server-side monitoring and alerting o Reporting **Qualifications:** · 5+ years functional test experience. · A Computer Science/I.T. related Degree / Diploma · Certifications in performance testing or related tools/frameworks is advantageous. **About NTT DATA** NTT DATA is a $30 billion trusted global innovator of business and technology services.
