System Integrity Specialist Engineer
Job Description Insight Global is looking for a subject matter expert of System Integrity to join a prominent utility in British Columbia. This individual will be leading advanced engineering analysis and decision-making across pipeline and facility applications to ensure the integrity of gas system assets. Independently identify and address complex technical risks, develop optimized plans and designs, and provide expert consultation and solutions. Serve as a subject matter expert in pipeline stress analysis, inline inspection, and repair—particularly in managing corrosion threats. Guide strategic engineering decisions, mentor junior staff, and contribute to the development of standards, tools, and processes. Represent the utility in regulatory hearings and industry forums, driving innovation and continuous improvement in engineering practices. Skills and Requirements Extensive Experience in System Integrity Minimum of 5–10 years working directly in system integrity, with a refined understanding of pipeline and facility integrity practices. Advanced Knowledge of Repair Methods Proven ability to assess, plan, and implement specialized repair techniques for complex infrastructure systems. Strong Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills Capable of navigating and resolving highly technical and multifaceted engineering challenges independently. Program Development for System Integrity Experience designing and executing comprehensive programs focused on maintaining and enhancing system integrity. Engineering Review & Professional Certification Skilled in reviewing engineering calculations and providing stamped approvals. Must hold a valid P.Eng designation. Independent Technical Leadership Able to operate autonomously, make informed decisions, and provide expert guidance without direct supervision.
