Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated System Engineer with a strong background in optics to join our multidisciplinary engineering team. This role involves leading the design, integration, and validation of complex optical systems within high-performance platforms. The ideal candidate will hold at least a Master’s degree in Optical Engineering, Physics, or a related field, and have 5+ years of hands-on experience in system-level engineering and optical design.
Key Responsibilities
Lead system-level design and integration of optical modules and subsystems.Perform trade-off analyses, error budgeting, and cost-performance evaluations.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define system requirements and translate them into technical specifications.Design and simulate optical systems using tools such as Zemax, CodeV, or LightTools.Develop and execute test plans for optical performance validation and calibration.Troubleshoot and refine optics modules and manufacturing processes.Document system architecture, design decisions, and test results.Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical leadership within the team.Required Qualifications
MSc or PhD in Optical Engineering, Physics, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.Minimum 5 years of experience in system engineering with a focus on optics.Strong understanding of imaging systems, illumination theory, and optomechanical alignment.Experience with MATLAB, Python, LabView, or OpenCV for data analysis and automation.Excellent communication and collaboration skills.Advantage: Proficiency in optical design software (Zemax, CodeV).Minimum Qualifications
MSc, with 5 years experience in system engineering, physics R&D and\or optical design
