System Engineer

A Utilities client is looking for a System Engineer/Senior System Administrator to join their IT organization. This position has hands-on technical and administrative responsibility for managing and maintaining all capabilities within the IT Infrastructure portfolio, including critical IT infrastructure components such as Windows, Linux, Active Directory, and physical, virtual, and cloud-based environments. As a senior staff member, this role provides guidance on planning, policy, and system integrity. This includes monitoring existing solutions, executing new and upgrade implementations, implementing enhancements, and performing required maintenance.
Experience:
Designing, implementing, and administering all aspects of IT Infrastructure through their lifecycle
Working with team members executing complex initiatives.
Ensuring compliance with policies, business requirements, licensing, and contracts.
Providing functional consulting related to use of technology supporting IT and business processes.
Skills:
Ability to manage required tasks (planning, budgeting, risk, workflow).
Time and risk management/prioritization.
Ability to work independently.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and organizational skills.
Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills, particularly with management.
