Wabtec Faiveley Nordic AB is now looking for a Service Project Engineer! In this role, you will have the opportunity to join a smaller team that works broadly technically and with Wabtec Faiveley's broad product portfolio. The group includes both product specialists and generalists. The technical department also consists of a design department that assists when needed.

The Customer Service Engineering team is characterized by a high customer focus where you will have the opportunity to gain diverse technical knowledge. You will enter a solution-oriented role where you are involved in both maintenance and upgrading projects from quotation to warranty for the Nordic market. In the Project and Sales phase, you are technically responsible for the project, compiling requirements specifications and answering technical questions from the customer. In the warranty phase, you lead technical investigations relating to everything from full service on trains to service of, for example, brakes and doors. You will work closely with your sales colleagues to ensure correct delivery to the customer.

More specifically, the service includes:

- Identification of needs regarding service and maintenance and condition assessments

- Administration regarding the writing of reports, technical specifications and assessments

- Technical support for production and field service

- Dialogue with sister companies in, for example, Germany, France and Italy regarding training and information exchange.

- The position includes travel to customers and sister companies. The estimated number of travel days is 30 days per year.

About you

To thrive in the role of Service Project Engineer, we believe you have a strong technical interest and are driven by broadening the knowledge you already possess. You have good communication skills where you engage with customers to understand their problems and pick up information between the lines. When you encounter a problem, you bring out your innovative side and, if necessary, cooperate with both colleagues and sister companies to come up with the best solution. For this reason, you find it easy to make contacts and highly value collaboration both within and outside your team. Since you work with safety-classified products, you have a careful and structured approach to your work.

The following are the requirements for the position:

- University technical education in mechanics or other equivalent, broad technical education

- Good knowledge of mechanics

- Good administrative skills

- Driving license B

- Fluent knowledge of Swedish and English

The following are meritorious:

- Previous aftermarket work experience where you have, for example, handled technical specifications and service and warranty matters

- Previous work experience in a similar industry such as the automotive industry

- Knowledge of electricity and pneumatics

- If you have previous experience in the railway industry, we consider this to be a strong meritorious
