System Engineer – End User Compute

The End User Compute System Engineer role will be responsible for managing and supporting the end-user computing environment, ensuring seamless and efficient operation of all end-user devices and related technologies. This role requires a proactive individual with strong technical expertise and excellent problem-solving skills. This role will build and support the framework for the end user device space, tooling and processes. RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES: + Oversee the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of end-user devices, including desktops, laptops, tablets, and mobile devices in partnership with site admin team members. + Manage the architecture and development of software applications and operating systems, ensuring seamless compatibility and peak performance. + Act as a technical escalation point and research complex technical problems and identify, implement, and communicate technical fixes. + Implement and maintain security protocols and compliance standards for end-user devices, including antivirus, encryption, and patch management. + Coordinate with multiple teams and departments to implement, maintain, and enhance a common end user device experience. + Create and maintain documentation for end-user computing processes and provide training to end-users on best practices and new technologies. + Identify opportunities for improving end-user computing services and implement solutions to enhance user experience and productivity. EDUCATION: + Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field + Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate, or similar are preferred. MANAGEMENT: + This role does not have direct reports but will provide technical leadership and mentorship to peers and cross-functional teams. QUALIFICATIONS: + Minimum 5-year experience in end-user computing or a similar role. + Proficiency in Windows and macOS operating systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and common end-user applications. Experience with mobile device management (MDM) solutions and virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) is a plus. + Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities. + Proactive identification and implementation of improvements + Ability to partner with and influence technical colleagues as well as senior business leaders + Ability to lead and motivate others; demonstrating empathy and knowledge of personality types + Strong verbal and written communication skills + Demonstrated strong technical knowledge of user devices and management platforms. The expected salary range for this position is $108-121k annually. Actual compensation will be dependent upon individual skills, experience, qualifications, and applicable laws *PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk, talk, and/or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand, sit, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
