Directs the fiscal planning, budget development, billing and collection functions. Monitors fiscal condition of the program and assures adequate resources. Minimum Education: Master's Degree in Business or Public Health Administration, or related Bachelor's degree with comparable experience in related field. Licensure, Registration and/or Certification: None. Work Experience: 5 - 7 years related experience. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Effective written, oral and interpersonal communication skills. Knowledge of Medicare, TJC, Federal and State regulations. Demonstrated effective management skills. Essential Functions and Responsibilities: Oversees the operations and strategic planning of the Durable Medical Equipment program. Evaluates the entity's compliance with the Medicare Conditions of Participation, TJC accreditation and state regulations. Directs the design and development of the DME quality improvement plan. Coordinates the implementation of a process improvement plan in accordance with Medicare and TJC guidelines. Assists in the development of action plans and follows through on issues identified in customer surveys. Directs the fiscal planning, budget development, billing and collection functions. Monitors fiscal condition of the program and assures adequate resources. Assists in evaluating community needs and plans programs and services designed to meet those needs. Promotes community relations by involvement in community affairs and serving on related boards and committees. Decision Making: Independent judgment in making decisions from many diversified alternatives that are subject to general review in final stages only. Working Relationships: Direct Supervision of others. Prepares and gives performance evaluations. Works directly with patients and/or customers. Works with internal customers via telephone or face to face interaction. Works with external customers via telephone or face to face interaction. Works with other healthcare professionals and staff.
