Role:
The System Configuration Management – SWD Engineer will design, implement, and maintain enterprise software deployment, OS imaging, and endpoint management solutions leveraging Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (SCCM) and Microsoft Intune in a hybrid on-premises/cloud environment.
Responsibilities:
SCCM Architecture & Operations: Configure and maintain SCCM site infrastructure, distribution points, client collections, and compliance baselines to ensure reliable software delivery.OS Imaging & Task Sequences: Build, update, and validate Windows 10/11 OS images; develop and maintain MDT/SCCM OSD task sequences for automated deployments.Application Packaging & Deployment: Package, test, and deploy MSI/App-V applications via SCCM and Intune; migrate legacy packages to modern management frameworks.Intune & MDM Management: Design and implement Intune device enrollment, configuration profiles, compliance policies, and conditional access rules for mobile and desktop endpoints.Automation & Scripting: Develop PowerShell scripts to automate imaging, packaging, and reporting tasks, reducing manual effort and build time.Patch Management & Update Compliance: Plan and execute monthly patch cycles; monitor update deployments and remediate failures across Windows endpoints.Incident & Change Management: Troubleshoot SCCM/Intune-related incidents (e.g., PXE boot failures, content replication issues), escalate complex problems, and document resolutions.Cross-Team Collaboration: Work closely with networking, security, and support teams to ensure certificates (PKI), firewall rules, and network services support endpoint management workflows.Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.At least 3 years of hands-on experience administering SCCM Current Branch and Microsoft Intune in enterprise environments.Strong knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, and PKI integration for certificate-based authentication.Proficiency with OS deployment tools: MDT, WDS, and SCCM OSD task sequences.PowerShell scripting skills for automation of packaging, imaging, and reporting.Must hold one of the following certifications:Microsoft Certified: Endpoint Administrator AssociateMicrosoft 365 Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate.Other Qualifications (Good-to-Have)
Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate or CompTIA Security+Familiarity with additional MDM platforms (e.g., VMware Workspace ONE, Samsung Knox).Excellent documentation, knowledge-sharing, and customer-facing communication skills.At DXC Technology, we believe strong connections and community are key to our success.
