The Solution Engineering Team in Huizen (10 fte) performs all system engineering activities for the realization of the successful SOTAS product portfolio. SOTAS is the IT infrastructure and communication solution that is installed in Military Vehicles. Solutions architect / System Architect (Military Communcations Solutions)

About your future job:

As a Solutions / system architect, you will work within a multidisciplinary team on the consultancy, design, development and validation of highly complex military systems. These systems are built on very reliable electronic hardware with a growing dominant software content. You will be part of a team with systems-, software-and hardware architects and sometimes with representatives of customers, suppliers of subsystems and other parties involved.

The main tasks are:

With a deep understanding of our solution and the domain of our customer, you are ableto help them to find the optimal solution and capture the requirements in modelsBeing part of our Team means that you will be involved in various activities: there will be a moment to discuss your solutions with the consultants, and there will be time to define the interaction between our systems and other systems in the vehicle. You will frequently meet with your team to learn from each other and to discuss the progress as you strive for continuous improvement.You are able to define the functional behavior of the system;Perform the technical design and analysis of the system;Define interfaces between the Thales subsystems the customer solution and 3rd party systems;Define the work for the Software and Hardware Competence Teams;

Why you'd be a good match

Completed degree in Electronic Engineering, Software Engineering or similar field;You have been working in a R&D department developing products with electronics, driver software and application softwareYou have experience in a domain where reliability, availability are considered key, like avionics, telecom, medical and defense technologyYou have great communication skills and you are able to work in multidisciplinary teams;High level of creativity, initiative, pragmatism and persuasiveness;Affinity with agile development;
