System Administrator/SAN Support Analyst
We are currently looking for a System Administrator/SAN Support Analyst to support our client’s SAN Storage, Backup and virtualization environments.
Responsibilities
Evaluate documented resolutions and analyze trends for ways to prevent future problems Alert management to emerging trends in incidents Liaise between resolver and other teams within the organization Provide server, storage and systems support to a diverse group of clients via phone, email or portal Diagnose and resolve problems and issues at a more advanced level with focus and attention to detail Provide suggestions for improving and assisting with documentation Prioritize problems; escalate high priority requests in a timely manner Develop an understanding of the customer’s environment and maintain technical knowledge Dispatch technical service regarding hardware problemsQualifications
Good experience with VMware and other virtualization technologies Good experience with SAN Storage technologies, arrays and best practices Experience implementing, administering and supporting virtualization technologies Experience with server Backups Experience using Veeam Backup technologies Experience with maximizing server disk space and server consolidations Experience with Server restorations Good knowledge of Windows Servers Knowledge of Linux ServersThis is a minimum 12 month contract role located in Toronto (work from home until deemed safe with occasional onsite visits).
