System Administrator - Intermediate (TS/SCI)
The System Administrator - Intermediate supports the INSCOM C2IO program by installing, troubleshooting, maintaining, and integrating hardware equipment and end-user devices across the headquarters element. They generate reports, fulfill requests for new services, determine the appropriate methodology for installing end-user PCs, including desktop devices and peripherals and assess the suitability of moderate equipment changes or modifications. Responsibilities Provides Army Enterprise Service Desk (AESD) ticket management support. Provides Army Unified Desktop System (AUDS) support and manages AUDS Administrative roles using Privileged Identity Management (PIM). Coordinates with Tier III IT Support, Engineers, and Administrators to complete tasks. Configures and installs new equipment or replaces existing user equipment on multipe network enclaves. Ensures proper configuration and performance of installed equipment. Integrates desktop workstations and associated equipment throughout the network. Loads approved OS images on new or existing systems. Conducts basic connectivity troubleshooting in support of new installs or replacements. Conducts life-cycle site surveys, planning, and design for small projects. Conducts quality control to verify conformance to industry and government standards. Assists with installation/de-installation and rearrangement/relocation of telephone desktop equipment. Assists in developing a list of materials and estimates installation timelines. Updates associated wiring, circuit, and electrical schematics/diagrams. Completes assigned tasks based upon severity, workflow, and time constraints. Documents project status changes and updates ticket notes daily with work performed. Communicates clearly, respectfully, and maintains courteous and friendly rapport. Participates in or leads minor special projects and day-to-day operations when assigned. Qualifications One (1) or more years of IT related experience. Active TS/SCI clearance (listed in DISS). High School Diploma or GED equivalent. Currently possess DoD 8570.1-M IAT Level II certification or greater. Currently possess a Computing Environment certification. Or must be obtained within 90 days of start date. Basic knowledge of ITIL framework and processes. Basic knowledge of desktops, laptops, printers, related components and accessories. Basic understanding of IT infrastructure technologies, design, concepts, and theory. Ability to work on projects with little or no supervision. Ability to lift up to 45 pounds repeatedly to complete work. Ability to kneel, squat, bend over, reach into tight spaces to complete work. Desired Qualifications: Experience with ITSM and Helpdesk Operations. Experience with fiber and copper infrastructure. Experience with Network Boot (PXE) environment and imaging of PCs. Experience with Active Directory and adding PCs to enterprise domains. Experience with ServiceNow or Microsoft SCSM ticketing system. Experience working with military, DoD civilians, or government contractors.
