1. Installs and configures servers, network switches, storage devices, wireless devices, PC clients, peripherals, and software applications, as well as interconnect. Is responsible for Windows Server (SQL Server, VMS, and others), VMware (VSphere & VCenter) administration. Responsibilities include but not limited to surveillance systems at properties owned and operated by Yuhaaviatam of San Manuel Nation (YSMN). Properties include but are not limited to Yaamava Resort & Casino (YRC), YRC Hotel, YRC Retail, YRC Entrainment Venue, YRC Amenities, YRC Food & Beverage areas, YSMN Reservation, and numerous YSMN remote site locations.
2. Maintains thorough diagnostic process and troubleshoots surveillance systems and applications, ensuring optimization to include regularly deployment of updates as needed.
3. Processes work orders, documents work performed, provides accurate daily and/or weekly status reporting.
4. Responds to and plans for service outages. Leads problem-solving efforts with Surveillance Technicians or outside vendors and other support personnel and/or organizations. Participates in development and implementation of key strategies, best practice techniques, and tactics to ensure system optimization.
5. Provides expert knowledge and support for business applications. Researches surveillance and IT technologies, making recommendations on enhancements to ensure efficient and cost-effective surveillance system operations. Participates in development and implementation of key strategies, best practices, and tactics ensuring systems optimization.
6. Provides feedback in planning, and execution of tasks or projects. Negotiates and meets deadlines in dynamic environment with changing priorities and works extended hours as applicable systems continuity.
7. Remains adaptable to new situations with strong commitment to team environment. Maintains capacity to work with little supervision and demonstrate willingness to learn new technologies.
8. Maintains working knowledge of Surveillance Department Standard Operating Manuals (SOM’s), San Manuel Tribal Gaming Commission (SMTGC) and Casino policies/procedures, federal, state, and tribal regulations pertaining to YSMN and its operations. Provides testimony as subject matter expert in Gaming Commission hearings, Tribal Court, or Court of Law.
9. Provides "on-call" and responsible for technical support in response to enterprise needs on 24 hour, 7 days a week basis.
10. Performs other duties as assigned to support the efficient operation of the department.
High School Diploma or GED required.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field preferred.
Minimum three (3) years of professional experience in one or more of the following areas: Surveillance Technology, Information Technology (IT), Low Voltage Systems, Surveillance Systems Technical Support, IT Data Center Operations, Access Control Systems or any related technical field required.
Knowledge, Skills And Abilities (Ksa)Experience in configuring, installing and troubleshooting IT systems, appliances, and devices such as servers, switches, network, storage devices, PC’s, etc. required.
Knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server, VMware, Streamvault experience strongly preferred.
Direct experience with Palo Alto, Pure Storage, Dell Isilon, Cisco, ESXi, Extreme switching and centralized storage appliances is preferred.
Knowledge of security principles and techniques, group policies, and asset management tools, applied in securing operating systems, data and LAN/WAN networks preferred.
Experience with common server monitoring tools (i.e. Solarwinds).
Must possess, or be able to attain, skills to operate equipment such as man lifts, aerial boom lifts/trucks, ladders, hand/power tools, and utility trucks required.
Must have the ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with demonstrated organizational and time management skills.
Proven commitment to working in a team environment with a capacity for self-direction, and a strong willingness to learn new technologies.
Ability to read and understand blueprints and schematic diagrams.
Must have the ability to read, write, and speak English for safety purposes.
Must be personable and professional, capable of using caution and discretion in communication.
Licenses, Certifications And RegistrationsAt the discretion of the San Manuel Tribal Gaming Commission, you may be required to obtain and maintain a gaming license.
Must hold or be able to obtain within 1 year from date of start in department and maintain, Certified Fiber Optic Installer (FOI) certification required.
Must hold or be able to obtain within 1 year from date of start in department and maintain, Genetec beginner and advanced certification required.
Vocational/Technical/Business certification in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field preferred.
CompTIA, MCSE, CCNA, related, or combination of, certification preferred.
Authorized Driver: Role requires operation or driving of Tribe-owned vehicles or driving patron vehicles. A valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record as determined by the insurance carrier is required.
