Design of BCU-based substation control systems for high voltage direct current systems (HVDC)Implementation of control software in as well as verification using simulation tools and real-time test environmentsPreparation of design specifications, documentation and effort estimationsClarification of technical requirements within project teams as well as with customers and suppliersRemote support during commissioning and service of HVDC systems

 

 

Work Experience

Qualification & Experience

Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.4 to 8 years of relevant experience in the above noted responsibilitiesVery good knowledge in parameterisation of bay control units (BCUs), ideally of SIPROTEC 5 devices with DIGSI and CFC (Continuous Flow Chart)Experience in the realisation of the standard IEC61850 for substation control and for data exchange with higher level automation and SCADA systemsGood knowledge in high voltage and substation technology as well as in the design of interlocking schemes and automated control sequencesGood knowledge in secondary interfaces of high voltage components such as switching devices, transformers, CTs and VTsGerman language skills are of advantageStrong interpersonal and communication skills.Ability to work in a team environment and develop strong internal and external relationships.Excellent time management and organization skills, ability to multi task.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
