In 1957, the two locations of the Electric Corporation of San Francisco became CONSOLIDATED ELECTRICAL DISTRIBUTORS, INC. CED has since expanded into a coast-to-coast network of sales and distribution warehouses with more than 700 locations nationwide. The CED management philosophy allows each manager to operate an independent business or “Profit Center” by remaining sensitive to local customers’ needs while still benefiting from the advantages afforded to a national distributor. Managers are guided by the principles of “Service, Integrity and Reliability.”
Reports to: PC Manager
Minimum Qualifications:
+ 3+ years of electrical or switchgear project management experience
+ Comprehensive knowledge of power distribution products and applications (i.e. switchboards, panelboards, transformers, MCCs, metering, etc.)
+ Proven track record managing projects from $100K to $2M+
+ Ability to read electrical plans, single-line diagrams, and specifications
+ Strong communication skills: clear, persuasive, and professional (written and verbal)
+ Proficiency with project management tools
+ Ability to identify problems, ask questions, be resourceful, and find solutions
+ Capacity to multi-task, prioritize, and be consistent
+ Dependable; work accurately under pressure, and within time constraints
+ Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to job sites and vendor facilities
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Electrical Wholesale/ Electrician/ Electrical Engineering Background, or other relevant experience
+ Bachelor's degree in Business, Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
+ Expertise in power distribution products and applications
+ Prior background in sales support or customer-facing technical roles

Essential Job Functions:
• Deliver world-class customer service throughout the sales lifecycle, anticipating client needs and swiftly resolving issues
• Coordinate with sales, logistics, and technical teams to translate client requirements into actionable project plans
• Issue and release purchase orders for switchgear projects in line with approved schedules
• Review and process change orders, updating cost forecasts and delivery timelines accordingly
• Logistics & delivery oversight; track lead times, shipment status, and freight issues; collaborate with carriers, warehouses, and clients to resolve delays
• Proactively provide transparent, regimented status updates to clients and internal stakeholders
• Prepare and review submittals, shop drawings, O&M manuals, and close-out documentation
• Maintain organized project records: project dashboard, RFIs, change orders, schedules, etc...
• Ensure accurate billing by tracking costs and sell prices through the closing of projects
• Provide technical assistance to sales team, counter staff, and clients
• Prepare accurate power distribution takeoffs from electrical plan sets and specifications
• Drive continuous improvement by capturing lessons learned and best practices
• Participate in sales, product training, and cross-functional meetings to expand expertise and share insights
• Build trusting relationships with clients by displaying competency and effectiveness
• Cultivate client and vendor relationships to secure bid position and grow profitable market share

Compensation Range:
The compensation range for this position is $80000 to $110000 annually.
