**Swiss CNC Programmer** Manufacturing Union County, NJ, NONE Pay Rate Low: 35 | Pay Rate High: 39 + Added - 09/09/2025 Apply for Job Seeking a Swiss CNC Programmer for our client, a leading manufacturer specializing in precision components for the medical device industry. **Type:** Contract-to-hire **Location:** Union County, NJ **Pay:** $35 - $39/hr **Shift:** Monday - Friday, 7am - 3pm **Duties:** + Program, set up, and operate a range of CNC machines, including Wire EDM, CNC Mills, and CNC Grinders. + Translate detailed technical drawings into accurate, high-quality components. + Support cost reduction initiatives once parts are in production. + Manage full setups, tool changes, and machine adjustments to maintain quoted cycle times. + Inspect parts using both contact and non-contact methods to confirm surface finish, concentricity, straightness, and other key tolerances. + Design and develop tooling for complex component geometries. + Troubleshoot setup and production issues to keep output on schedule and within quality standards. + Provide input for new part estimates, including setup/cycle times, tooling requirements, and scrap considerations. + Collaborate closely with Quality, Manufacturing, and Engineering teams to resolve production challenges and support quoting efforts. + Maintain compliance with safety standards and company operating procedures. + Perform machine and bar feeder troubleshooting; work with outside vendors when necessary. **Qualifications:** + Minimum of 5 years of hands-on CNC programming, setup, and operation experience. + Background in regulated manufacturing environments (ISO 9001, ISO 13485, or similar). + Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing practices and process improvement methods. + Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot complex machining challenges. + Analytical thinker who can evaluate problems, identify solutions, and work well in collaborative problem-solving environments. + Consistently meets production standards while maintaining accuracy and quality. + Skilled in precision machining with a focus on meeting both internal and customer-driven quality standards. + Proficiency with CAM software (FeatureCAM, PartMaker, or similar) and CAD platforms such as SolidWorks. + Ability to edit CNC programs, adjust offsets, and perform complete setups. + Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization. _This job description is a complete list of all desired skills, but not all are required.
