This Position reports to:

PEQR Manager

 

In this role, you will be responsible for developing a team of software developers and test engineers, both locally and in close cooperation with the global R&D team in the Drives division in Jüri. You will ensure that engineering activities are effectively executed following expectations, specifications, standards, and safety requirements, while identifying opportunities for improvement.

Your responsibilities:

Build and continuously develop a high-performance software engineering team.Coach and support engineers by using your management and communication skills.Maintain and enhance customer satisfaction through proactive dialogue and excellent service.Support Scrum teams using agile methods, actively participating in teamwork to ensure project success and product quality.Follow the scaled agile method in global software developmentFoster strong cooperation with other ABB R&D units globally and ensure continuous knowledge sharing between people and teams.

Qualifications for the role:

Bachelor’s degree or higher in Information Technologies, Electrical Engineering, Automation, or a related field.Experience in line management, product/project management, or software engineering.Familiarity with agile methods and tools.Knowledge and experience in electric drives and embedded software design are valuable advantages.Proficiency in English, both spoken and written.A significant emphasis is placed on maintaining safety in the workplace and following safety protocols.High levels of personal initiative, curiosity, and an interest in discovering new technologies.
