Job Description

The Visa Payment Products Sales, Client Services, Experience team develops and supports Visa contact center and client support applications, which are used by our business partners to service our Visa clients worldwide on a 24 by 7 basis.

The Software Engineer position within the team is an individual contributor role based in our Bengaluru office. The successful candidate is expected to be a Java full stack subject matter expert within the Visa Access Development team. The selected candidate will be fully responsible for service delivery.

Responsibilities:

Responsible for agile end-to-end development process within the construct of DevOps practices and methodology:Support agile ceremonies: sprint planning, daily stand ups, sprint review and sprint retrospective.Provide technical insights to support release planning, including user stories breakdown, tasks assignment, and backlog grooming, through elicitation and clarifications of user stories and requirements with business stakeholders and communication of IT dependencies.Adapt to best practices and lessons learned from sprint execution to maximize team velocity.Design and develop enhancements or new services that are:Scalable, resilient, secured and decoupledAble to detect and alert when functional or non-functional production errors occurAble to gather and persist behavioral and performance metrics andDeliver optimal customer experience.Perform quality assurance testing inclusive of unit, systems, integration and regression testing, and support the development of automated test scripts to be used to automate regression testing.Support users during their user acceptance verification.Deploy tested enhancements or new services to certification and production environments with rollback strategies defined.Provide level 2 and 3 support to resolve incidents according to committed service level agreement.Provide strong communication to keep project team and stakeholders up to date.Design and improve internal development methodologies utilizing Java, AEM and supporting technologiesIdentify and utilize best practices in the industry to maximize efficient and elegant solutions.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
1-2 years of relevant work experience with bachelor’s degree

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in information technology, or equivalent.0.5 - 1.5 years of development and support experience in AEM or full stack technologiesExperience in the following frameworks & technologies is preferred:AEM: Deep understanding of AEM architecture, including authoring, publishing, and dispatcher configurations.Java: Strong proficiency in Java programming, as AEM runs on a Java-based platform.Frontend Technologies: Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and popular frontend frameworks/libraries (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js).Integration: Experience with integrating AEM with other systems and third-party services (e.g., RESTful APIs, SOAP, OAuth, SAML).Workflows: Knowledge of creating and managing AEM workflows for content approval processes.Build Tools: Familiarity with build and dependency management tools like Maven and Jenkins.Testing: Experience in unit testing using Junit.Content Management: Deep understanding of content management principles and best practices.Solution Design: Ability to design scalable, maintainable, and performant AEM solutions.Component Development: Good knowledge in developing reusable AEM components, templates, and services.Experience in performance tuning and automated unit testingGood to have Dockers, Kubernetes, MongoDB & Kafka knowledgeExcellent oral and written English communication skills
