SVP Data Delivery Management
Job Purpose & Scope Strategically oversees the data delivery management team to enhance Bank Data Product engineering and analytical maturity. Ensures robust processes and governance structures, prioritizes outcomes-based results, and aligns agile delivery practices with strategic data product priorities while ensuring delivery predictability and quality. Essential Job Functions Recruits and manages staff to include interviewing, hiring, firing, assigning and delegating work, training, and coaching to ensure proficient performance of duties and functionality of assigned business unit. Conducts performance reviews, and fosters a culture of agility, accountability, and continuous improvement. Oversees and implements consistent data product planning, requirements management, delivery reporting, release management, and efficient delivery management, including workflows and tooling such as Jira administration. Defines consistent product and delivery management competencies and standards for all data product management teams, and leads collaboration and implementation enterprise-wide Oversees project portfolios, ensuring alignment with strategic business objectives. Leads project planning, estimation, and actuals reporting. Leads high-level communication and stakeholder engagement to maintain alignment and transparency. Oversees the delivery of data engineering and analytics product solutions. Conduct and lead requirements planning for strategic projects and build out requirement documentation for engineering team Ensures consensus on requirements, UAT strategy and supporting related QA validations for engineering products. Ensures SOX General Information Technology Controls processes and documentation fulfill internal and regulatory requirements. Identifies, communicates and mitigates risks and opportunities, and contributes to process improvements. Ensures robust release management controls in accordance with regulatory and Bank standards. All other duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Comprehensive knowledge and skill in the creation, delivery, and management of technical data analytics, data science, and data reporting products. Knowledge of data warehousing and data engineering fundamentals Comprehensive knowledge of data governance, data lineage, and data catalog processes. Ability to utilize discretion and sound judgment in decision making. Ability to demonstrate effective organization, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Ability to demonstrate proactive critical thinking, assess risks and opportunities, and develop strategic plans. Ability to work on large-scale data projects and demonstrate effective portfolio management skills. Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, including robust presentation skills. Ability to interact with all levels of employees. Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines while maintaining excellent attention to detail. Ability to work independently and without close supervision. Ability to demonstrate effective leadership and conflict resolution skills. Must be able to facilitate collaborative work. Ability to conduct SQL queries sufficient to understand results from data products. Proficient skill working with data engineering and analytics portfolio and leading delivery through full data development lifecycle. Proficient skill with Agile development and quality assurance testing methodologies. Proficient skill with establishing and monitoring control processes. Skill in using computer and Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook. Basic Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or commensurate work experience, required. 7+ years of experience building and delivering data products through Agile and/or Waterfall delivery methods. 2+ years of experience leading, managing, supervising, mentoring, and/or providing guidance to others, required. 3+ years of experience with dimensional data models, data warehouse, data marts, extract transform and load technologies, and/or enterprise data management concepts, required.
