ABOUT THE ROLE

The SVP, Relationship Manager, Commercial Deposits & Treasury Management is a senior-level commercial banker responsible for building a regional and national deposit and treasury management strategy focused on high-opportunity business verticals, including property management, healthcare, title and escrow, 1031 exchange, professional services and other commercial sectors. This role is responsible for identifying growth markets, designing targeted solutions, creating go-to-market strategies that position the bank as a trusted partner in managing liquidity, payments, and operational cash flow for industry-specific clients.  This individual will drive core deposit growth, fee-based revenue and client retention through tailored treasury solutions that enhance business performance and deepen primary bank relationships.  

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Market Expansion & Strategy Development Lead the national build-out of strategic industry verticals within the commercial deposit and treasury segment Identify target markets, geographies, and sub-sectors with high deposit and fee-income potential Develop tailored value propositions and industry-specific deposit and treasury management solutions Understanding of Treasury Management Products & Services Maintain a deep knowledge of various products, including cash management, liquidity management and risk management Stay current on industry trends, new products, services and best practices in treasury management. Business Development & Relationship Management Originate and grow a portfolio of high-value commercial deposits and treasury clients across the nation and regional markets Develop and execute targeted calling strategies within key industries (e.g., property management, 1031 exchange, title and escrow, healthcare, etc…) Build strong networks and centers of influence within industry verticals to drive referral opportunities and brand presence. Proactively identify and engage new commercial prospects through networking, referrals, and targeted outreach. Build and deepen relationships with existing clients to uncover opportunities, focusing on deposit growth and treasury solutions. Treasury Management & Deposit Growth Analyze client’s cash flow, payments, and financial needs to recommend appropriate solutions. Serve as the primary advisor on treasury products (ACH, wires, RDC, merchant services, fraud prevention, etc.), aligning solutions with client needs. Provide professional sales presentations, recommending products and services that are of value to the client/prospect. Drive non-interest-bearing deposit growth and fee income through consultative discussions and cross-selling relevant banking services. Deposit Portfolio Management Oversee the growth and retention of existing commercial deposit relationships, ensuring a high level of client satisfaction. Prepare and conduct annual client relationship reviews to ensure proper account structure, services, pricing and to identify opportunities to expand existing relationships by offering value-add solutions Provide ongoing service and support, proactively addressing any issues or opportunities to optimize account usage and client satisfaction. Client Onboarding & Implementation Oversee the setup and ongoing support of new treasury services, ensuring smooth onboarding, effective training, and prompt issue resolution. Partner with internal teams to ensure a high-quality client experience. Cross-Functional Collaboration & Market Engagement Collaborate closely with commercial lending, product, marketing and operations teams to deliver holistic client solutions. Lead joint sales efforts with internal stakeholders to optimize client acquisition and wallet share. Participate in regional and national industry events to enhance the Bank’s visibility and identify emerging market needs. Participation in a minimum of one strategic leadership role to build strong relationships and develop new business Serve as a strategic advisor in pipeline planning, pricing strategies, and client retention efforts. Risk & Compliance Adhere to all regulatory and internal policies, escalating potential risks as necessary. Maintain a proactive stance on fraud prevention, operational controls, and compliance requirements. Revenue and Performance Accountability Meet or exceed annual growth goals for deposit, fee income, and client acquisition Maintain disciplined pipeline and CRM management to ensure transparency and forecasting accuracy Regularly review client portfolios for optimization, cross-sell, and expansion opportunities

EDUCATION & WORK EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience). 8 to 12+ years of progressive experience in commercial banking, treasury management, deposit sales, or relationship management, with a history of achieving revenue targets. Expertise in treasury products and a strong grasp of deposit acquisition and retention strategies. Proven ability to manage a sales pipeline, self-source new clients, expand on existing client relationships, and collaborate with cross-functional teams. Excellent communication, consultative selling, and strategic planning skills Ability to lead initiatives across markets and business lines with a strong focus on property management, title and escrow, 1031 exchange, healthcare and professional services with minimal oversight
